Grayt People make up
             Squirrel  Sanctuary

Looking back over the last few years I am amazed with all that has been accomplished
in such a short time .While our principal objective is squirrel rehabilitation and
environmental education, the years have been filled with memorable events and challenging
projects.

I would like to acknowledge the special group of people involved with Squirrel Sanctuary,
both past and present Sanctuary officers, friends, family members, sanctuary members, board
members, cooperating rehabilitators, rescuers, veterinarians, wildlife assistants ,volunteers and
 the
good people in our area that care enough to stop and help a squirrel in need. These people
have demonstrated by example to do what is best for our wildlife even when such tasks may
cause personal stress and inconvenience.

Without their help and dedication we simply could not function as we do.
We went from rehabilitating 150 squirrels in 1997 to 455 in 1998 and 475 in 1999,
  500 in 2000, 650 in 2001 and
BEYOND in 2007

Our future looks very exciting and promising. We are showing
by our own example and everyone's participation that there
is indeed a place for each of us within the community of nature.
